Hello.
I installed the latest HotFix on my machine and now the UltrGrid is no longer usable in all my applications.
The "Start" button of the Grid went away and i'm not be able to call the Griddesigner. Also i can't select the grid in the designer, although it is still visible in design view (this relates only to my existing applications) . Clicking on the grid allways selects the underlying panel. I tried to use the control in a complete new solution, but when i place the control on the form, it is not visible.
I'm using VS2008 but the behavior in VS2005 is still the same.
Any suggestions?
Kind regards,
Ralf
Everybody thanks for the tips by fresh reinstall works better for me. Also after reporting this to my manager and simply using common sense, there will be no more Hot fixes without release notes attached. Does anybody know what this hotfix was all about?
It seems to work:-)
I have done the following:
1. Installed the HotFix2. Rebuild the Toolbox3. Upgraded my project4. Checked the .licx file ==> no .1000 build entrys enclosed. Only .2013 build lines.
If this is the normal procedure after installing a HotFix/Update it would be nice, if the Project Upgrade Utilitiy could "remember" the projects i added. In a few month, when the next update is available, i could't remember which of my projects are using infragistics components.
BTW: The problem with the "Feature Picker" has gone with this HotFix.
Thanks for your help Torrey

Not during my last experiments. Because the Toolbox was OK i see no needs to recreate it. The Upgrade Utility i have never run. When is it required to run these tools? Every time i HotFix/Update the Software?
I will give it a next try. Uninstalling/Installing the whole software is a good chance to get a fresh coffee:-)
With running those at least you can assure that you've done everything to ensure that the newest build is being used. In my case it worked fine, but occasionally you'll get a stray .1000 build line appearing in the license file out of no where. Just remember to check that file every so often if something doesn't seem right.
Hi Torrey.

I think, you mean the .licx file in the solution folder "My Project". I'm sorry, but my .licx file only contains lines with the .1000 build:-( I closed VS, renamed the .licx file and reopend VS to force a recreation of the licenses file. But nothing changed. Only .1000 build lines are enclosed. Restarting the machine and repeating the steps mentioned above leads to the same result.
So once again uninstalling/reinstalling:-(
I wonder about in which environment Infragistics has tested this HotFix. In my opinion this problem must occur on nearly every machine this HotFix is applied to.
