I'm optimizing a database which is developed in visual studio and integrated with infragistics version 8.3.20083.1009. In order to open the souce code file(*.sln) I have installed the current trial version but still can't open the file successfully. My questions are as below:
1. Is the 8.3.20083.1009 version too old so that the current trial version could not identify it?
2. If I have the setup file of that old infragistics version and buy a current product key(Windows Forms), would it be possilbe, that I could open the sln file successfully after I installed the old version setup?

Yes, I mean that I hope to have the product key of the version 8.3.20083.1009, so that I could open the current *.sln file(still with the version 8.3.20083.1009) and don't have to wait until at the end of March 2014(the declared time when they could offer us the application with the infragistic 13.2).
The period from now on to the end of March is already enough for me to finish my research. But if I have to wait till that time, I will lost much time, which also means, that I can't hand in my research report on time.
Would that be possible? Or could you offer another idea for this situation?
I am not sure I understand your last request. Do you need 8.3.20083.1009 while your internal team provide you with the updated solution that will use 13.2?

Yes, you have correctly unterstodd my question. Now the project have being upgrading by a external team, and they are trying to adjust the configuration of the project, which would be integrated with a new version infragistics, so that we(as customer) could use the new application or open its *.sln file smoothly.
But the problem is:
I can't get any further step opening the *.sln file which is with 8.3.20083.1009 version on my site for my study research, until they offer us the finished project. They said, they can provide me the old version setup but without the old version product key.
Could you help me to get through this situation?
