I tried to reproduce this with the latest service release of 14.1 and the image had no white background even when the row was active/hot tracked. What version of Infragistics are you using? Can you isolate the issue in a small sample and I will be glad to research it further.

Thanks. I wasn't able to duplicate the issue either. What possible factors could be causing this. In creating the sample app, I copied/pasted the grid from my production project to the sample app. I'm not sure where else to look or what the next step would be. The grid was created from a previous version of Infragistics, but not only should the upgrade fix this but copying/pasting the grid from the project that the issue exists should have exposed the problem. Thoughts?
