I need to confure the xamDataGrid so that the first column is a row header and has the same look and feel as the column header. The row header isn't editable. The idea is that this will give me a grid which behaves like Excel (row and column headers).
Does anyone have any idea how to do this..? None of the (sparse) examples available show how to do anything like this.

Hello Hongfei,
The requested functionality is not scoped to be added to the XamDataGrid as of yet. However, you can implement your own customization based on the following links:
http://forums.infragistics.com/forums/p/11093/42256.aspx#42256

I hope this helps!
Thank you,
Do we have this functionality now?

Not yet. Please submit the feature as a request to the following website:http://devcenter.infragistics.com/Protected/RequestFeature.aspx
We do have various new features coming up for the XamDataGrid. Keep working with us as we want to make sure our customers get the features they need.
Thanks!
Now that we're on version 8, can anyone confirm if this fucntionallity is now included? Simultanious row and column headings would seem to be fairly baisic requirement for a grid (basic as in a fair number of people would use it / expect it, rather than basic to impliment - I do understand there is a difference :) )
Thanks
Paul
I don't believe the XamDataGrid supports having row and column headers exist at the same time. You can have one or the other. Product management is good at providing customers custom solutions. Contact developer support with a request for this functionality:
