How to set the cellWidth when AutoFit is set to true?

I have AutoFit is set to TRUE for my grid. All fields are displayed with equal cell width. I need to change a cell width and when I try to set the cellWidth on a field using its settings, it is not working when AutoFit is set to TRUE on the grid.

Is there anyway I can accomplish this without setting the AutoFit = FALSE?
