As I understand it the XamComboEditor does not have this ability. Will it be included soon? I could do this with no problems with the UltraWinCombo for windows.forms.

The combo can be retemplated to nest a grid which will provide the funcionality. You simply have to set a Data Template like shown in this forum thread: http://community.infragistics.com/forums/p/26793/99438.aspx#99438
The wpf controlo usually tend to follow up the WinForms funcionality but since retemplating offers a huge modifications ability it cannot be said when and if this will appear as built in funcionality.
