We are planning to automate some tests for the applications that use the XamDataGrid. I wonder if you have any idea about which automate test tool is suitable for testing the XamDataGrid?
We have tried several tools (QTP, White among others) but thet're all having problems with tests involving the grid (timeouts and such).
Thank you for your time and effort and I’ll be very glad for a fast response.
Hi Curtis,
Thanks for confirming that infragistics wpf controls supports for Microsoft (i.e. Coded Ui) automated tests.
I'm using visual studio 2013 premium version to automate the wpf application in which infragistics wpf XAM tab controls had been used.
Could you please share the infragistics reference dll to support and identify the infragistics wpf XAM controls from coded ui test builder for automation?

HI,
We are currently using Infragistic WPF 2011 v1 Ultimate. We are trying to use Visual Studio 2011 Test Manager to test the UI.
But unfortunately, none of the infragistic WPF control can be picked up by the Microsoft Test Runner.
I read somewhere to get 3rd party controls to work with Microsoft Test Runner, the 3rd party vendors need to extend their controls.
Does Infragistic WPF 2011 v1 controls support these?
Hello,
Infragistics controls do support Microsoft automated testing. And according to a HP Support webpage, QTP 9.5 and higher is supposed to support third party controls. If you have a problem with one of our controls and QTP, please contact HP support. We do not provide extended support to ensure that QTP works with our controls. We have made sure that our controls support standard WPF Automation. Therefore third party test suites should be able to support our WPF controls.

Hi.
I am using QTP 10 and trying to automate aplication which is written with infragistics WPF controls but QTP doesn't recognize WPF controls, i have installed WPF and . NET add-in. Can you help me?
Concerning Alexp10's issue, is this something you can reproduce in a sample project as well? If so, it will be easier for me to see if there is a bug and how to get what you are trying to work to work.
Thank you!
