I'm using a XamReportPreview control to generate a print preview of a Report object, and I want to show the progress bar so that the user knows that the system has not hung if it takes a while to generate...
The only thing is that the progress bar text says that it is printing when generating the preview. Is there an easy way to change the text displayed by the progress control so that it says "Generating preview page 1" etc... rather than "Printing page 1"
Cheers!
This doesn't seem like correct behavior - it probably should provide different wording when previewing. I've submitted an issue for this and will see about getting a case created for you for this so you can be notified when the fix is available.
Bumping to ask if this has been fixed?
The word "printing" is definitely going to mislead the user.
I can confirm that this has been fixed. I don't remember which service release it was that fixed it, but if you have the latest updates, then it does now give a message to do with generating a preview, rather than printing.
OK good with the 10.1 version it now says "Preview Generation Progress" so I'd say its fixed.
