I'm using Infragistics for wpf (2009 version) in my project.
The build process is very slow, takes to build it more than 2 minutes, even though the solution is not too complicated yet.
When I track the Output window of the build process, I can see that the stuff taking a lot of time is a process connected to Infragistics license files, produced by lc.exe (which I understood is a License Compiler).
I tried to delete the license files, then the project was built in 20 seconds!
Why does this happen? How to solve this issue?

lc.exe is a process associated with Microsoft® .NET Framework from Microsoft Corporation. Non-system processes like lc.exe originate from software you installed on your system. As most applications store data in your system's registry, it is likely that your registry has suffered fragmentation.
As you already stated, simply delete the conents of the license.licx fiile.
