in my project each record has children (can be expended). is there a way to make diffrencces in the font between a record and its sub-records (i want the main record to be bigger and bolder...)

I apologize that this post was not answered sooner. We are making the effort to ensure all posts are addressed by an Infragistics expert.
You can apply a different styles for the presenters in each FieldLayout. Each FieldLayout's Settings object expose CellValuePresenterStyle, DataRecordPresenterStyle and DataRecordCellAreaStyle properties that you can use to change the font size.
