inbuilt feature of xamgrid and datagrid to get rows count ?

Hi,

Is there any inbuilt feature of xamgrid and datagrid to get rows count ? whenever user click on xamgrid or datagrid.He must get rows count under the footer or side of xamgid attached to it.

I am using MVVM. we already have filtersetting (Column header) in xamgrid.Is it possible  to achieve in filter menu to show total records count? help with code if possible!!
