Not a direct answer to your question, but I'd love to know more about what your scenario is.  Do you literally want the entire grid in a combobox dropdown, with all of its features (hierarchy, add row, filtering, sorting, summaries, etc ,etc)? 

Or are you just looking to display a few properties in a grid column-style arrangement?
