Some suggestions for improving the XamMultiColumnComboEditor
posted

Some suggestions for improving the XamMultiColumnComboEditor:

1)    It would be really nice if you could expose a property to allow the MinWidth of the drop down box to be set. I don’t like the fact that my user has to resize the drop down box to be able to view all of the data that I am displaying.

2)    It would also be useful to provide a property to allow the drop down box to only appear after x number of character have been entered and to then allow the dropdown list to be binded to a list of items that start with characters that have already entered. The reason for this is request is that I would like to use the XamMultiColumnComboEditor to display data from a database table that contains over 1000 records and I don’t wish to load all of those records into memory. I would like to load a subset of the data after the first 3 characters have been entered. This is what I expected from the Google Suggest Style filtering.

Are there any workaround solutions to achieve these suggestions?
