I am getting a messge that says license not found. We periodicaly get this error when a file named "license" appears in the properties folder of the solution. We usually just delete the file and error goes away. This time I'm getting the error and there is no license file. Its a problem because the xaml editor in visual studio has wavy lines under every line of xaml and its not easy to read. The project builds and runs just fine.

My company has many infragistics licenses. The problem is real I assure you (happened again this morning) I will check with our IT dept I dont have time right now to further document the issue, sorry.
Hello Howard,
I can suggest you delete the content of the licence.licx file if you upgrade to a newer version and removed the old one, because this file contans inforamtion about the version on which the project has been built.
Hope this helps you.
OK -- I deleted the licence.licx -- now it continue to say license not found.
What should I try next
You can try to set the Infragistics' asemblies Specific version Property to false.
Hi,
I am having the exact same issue. I started off using the trial version and had to deal with license.licx file all the time ensuring that the contents are empty.
I started using the licensed copy of controls and uninstalled the trial version. Since doing that, I am unable to use the controls in design mode. There is no issue at runtime.
I get "No License Information Found" at design time.
So as things stand, I do have an empty Licenses.licx file and I am referencing a licensed copy of Infragistics control library. However, I can't see any controls at design time.
Any suggestions on what can I do to fix this? I would not like to install the library ideally as we have the licensed copy of the dlls in the "Lib" folder under source code control and everybody just references from there.
Hello,
I can suggest you set the assemblies' specific version to false and copy local to false, so that the Assmeblies reffer to the latest version in the GAC.
