Inheriting from XamRibbon

Hi,

In our app we inherit from XamRibbon to add behaviour, but we want the XamRibbon styling to apply to our inherited control. For the most part, this seems to work fine, but quick access tools do not appear in the QAT. Any tools added to our QAT take up space but do not appear.

Any clues on how we can fix this glitch?

I just tried this after installing the NetAdvantage 2007 Vol. 2 HotFix and ran my sample project which creates a custom class derived from XamRibbon and installs it into a XamRibbonWindow. The HotFix corrects the problem you found.

If you are a subscriber you can download this HotFix from your Keys and Downloads section. If not, you can use the Express version which has its own HotFix.

Please let me know if you still see any problem.

Hello,

I tried your idea of deriving a class from xamRibbon and experience the same thing with the QAT not working. I am going to contact an engineer and get back to you about how to fix this or how to work around this.
