I have a rather intriguing situation that I hope you can help me clear out.
I had to install from scratch my computer. In the past I had installed NetAdvantage_Ultimate_20122
I didn't install the option about "Microsoft Office 2007 UI Capabilities" because is what i was told to do. And I had the ribbon working just fine.
But now that I have had installed all again i am getting various error messages telling me to check the topic "Installing Microsoft Office 2007 UI Capabilities".
It throws an error in the designer and I can not see the Ribbon there. But I launch the application and that is working fine.
Can anyone explain me what is the problem?
**Update**
One of my corworkers installed the UI Capabilities and he is still having this problem.
He didn't have to install the computer from scratch like me. He had Infragistics installed without the UI capabilities and when this problem started to happen he proceeded to install it.
We both Upgraded to Visual Studio 2012 Update 2. I don't know if this may be part of the problem.
Thanks in advance!
Hello Viviana,
Thank you for your feedback. The reason about the option available in the installer for NetAdvantage vol. 12.2 is that when we released it this agreement had not been applied. And because we do not update the platform installer UI, this option is still in all the installers before vol. 13.1. If you try to install the NetAdvantage vol. 13.1 you will notice that there is no such option.
Let me know, if you need any further assistance on this matter.
Yanko I would glady mark that as the answer, but it still doesnt answer why this is happening.
If microsoft licensing has stopped being used because the only you have to do is basically complain with the Guideliness, then why do you have to install that additional option? That makes no sense.
That is why I havent this question as resolved. I guess maybe i can ask at microsoft.
Regards,
Hi Michelle what I had to do was to fully uninstall Infragistics and then Install it again but with the option of Installing Office 2007 UI Capabilities selected.
Have you tried that?
Does anyone have a solution for this. I am gettign the exact same problem using VS2010. Infragistics hasn't been much help.
I am just checking if you require any further assistance on the matter.
