How do I change the header area background color? This is the dockpanel that holds the pre and post item content and the tab items.

I have been looking into and I can suggest you see the sample in the Samples Browser under xamTabControl / Style / Customizing the xamTabControl section, where it is shown how to style the different elements of the XamTamControl. The Samples Browser is an application installed along with the NetAdvantage product, which contains samples with all our controls, showing their features. You can find it by opening Start Menu and navigate to: All Programs / Infragistics / NetAdvantage 13.1 / WPF / Samples / WPF Samples Browser 13.1. I don't see any Samples Browser application. In my Start Menu under Infragistics I see NetAdvantage 2013.1/WPF/Samples/WPF Sample Source Code (Online) 2013.1

This is the online version of the Samples Browser, but it contains only the XAML and the C#, you won't be able to interact with the sample since it is on WPF.
