Hi,
We are using the Xam ComboEditor with the IsEditable Property = true and a fixed width. Drop Down Entries are longer than the fixed width.
The user can enter manually text to select the related item, but cannot see the entered text, because the cursor is outside the Selected Value range( because the drop down entries are longer...)
Example:Drop Down Text (with open Drop Down): 01-1215-0000 / TOWBAR, AIR TRANSPORTABLEEntering manually in text box the visible area shows: TRANSPORTABLE and the user don't see what he is typing...
Is there any way to align the selected value to the left?
Please any help would be a appreciate.
Hello Roman,
I am just checking if you require any further assistance on the matter.
Enclosed you will find the example.
Thank you for your answer.
But now the autocomplete function is no longer available. (just for the first character)
After further research on the matter I made a little modification to the project that you have attached to scroll horizontally to the beginning of the text and to keep the selection at the same time. This could be achieved by using the TextBox element that is part of the editor and call the ScrollToLine method every time the selection is changed (that will happen when user enters characters). I hope this approach will help. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
I am just checking if my last reply was helpful for you.
If you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to ask.
Hallo.
Yes ist works, but this is just a workaround, because sometimes i have to wait after the selection is correct aligned or i see the caracters "flickering".
Best regards,
Roman
