ReportPlus Version 3.0 is Here!

After months of waiting, we are proud to announce that ReportPlus v3.0 is now here!  Version 3.0 represents a major release for the team; it ships with several new features as well as introduces enhancements to the overall user experience of the app.

With this release, we've switched up the app’s business model. Going forward, ReportPlus is now a subscription-based app. It’s free to download, but requires a subscription to unlock all the great features available with the full version.  Existing users who have purchased previous versions of the appnow have a perpetual license to use all subscription features for free. To redeem this license, existing users must register their product and tap on the Restore Purchases button within the app.

The Lite version of ReportPlus has been removed from the app store. Existing users of the Lite version can  continue to  use the app, but will no longer receive any updates, so if you’re currently using the Lite version, we  encourage you  to move to the new version to get the full benefits of ReportPlus.

This new release is filled with lots of great new features, including:

App Store Core

  • Folders support in the initial dashboard selector view:You can now group local dashboards in folders, making finding and managing dashboards easier.
  • Enhanced Analysis Services editor & support: Data sets retrieved from Analysis Services get a completely revamped editor, including a treeview editor for navigating the hierarchies of dimensions and measures, plus named sets, folders and measure groups support.
  • UNDO/REDO: In the dashboard design canvas and in the Widget Editor, you have the ability to undo and redo any action, making the learning process smoother.
  • AutoSave:Every thirty seconds, the new AutoSave feature backs up the work you’ve done while designing dashboards, thereby avoiding any data loss.
  • Hourly Aggregation: Time-based aggregation now goes beyond Year, Month, Day, and allows you to group records by Hour.
  • Overlay of help tooltips: no matter where you are in the app, tapping  the help button displays an overlay of tooltips appears, with links to help articles.
  • Cascading filters support for widget filters and global filters: You can now define related filters with dependencies (such as Country>State>City) so that when users select a Country, only valid values are displayed for State and City filters.

App Store Subscription

  • Cloud-based Sharing: Sync your dashboards across devices and share them with other users easily and transparently.
  • New Exporting Capabilities: PDF, Word and CSV; ReportPlus v3.0 goes beyond PowerPoint slides when it comes to exporting and sharing.
  • Rebranding: Export professional looking documents that incorporate your company logo and you company color.
  • Annotation support: Add notes and markers in exports to highlight the big picture.
  • DIY HTML Visualizations: Visualize data sets retrieved by ReportPlus with your own HTML + JavaScript code.

Enterprise

  • Navigation Between Dashboards: ReportPlus 3.0 allows you to specify one dashboard to open another, deeper-level dashboard when you perform certain actions, like widget maximizing, tapping a row, or tapping a chart column. This enables drill-down navigation experiences across dashboards, where one dashboards offers a broad overview, while another dashboard provides an even greater level of detail. For instance, you can create a dashboard with a Full Company 360-degree Overview, with a  Human Resources widget that maximizes the HR Dashboard when tapped..
