What’s New with Nintex and SharePoint/ Office 365 Mobile Man / Wednesday, September 2, 2015 The Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) was a busy five days in July aimed at Microsoft fans, buyers and partners to show off new innovations and announcements. It doesn’t matter if you’re a global organization or small business, WPC was a great chance to get up to date with the latest happenings in the ecosystem. WPC was another big push by Microsoft to drive innovation across the industry. CEO Satya Nadella gave an aspirational keynote aimed at helping everyone understand how they can play their part to reinvent productivity and collaboration. It was a good place to learn about the roadmap of not only Microsoft's products, but also many third parties. One such third party that had a big presence was Nintex, purveyor of the very popular workflow and form tools. Let’s look in depth at what they announced at the show. 2015 Nintex Partner Award Nintex organized a pre day show event exclusively for their own partners to give out awards and provide updates on the significant changes being made to the Nintex partner program. Nintex awarded 12 partners who are driving forward innovation using the Nintex Workflow Automation platform. The partners were awarded in four categories across Americas, APAC and EMEA regions Business Excellence - Protiviti, Inc., InfoShare and KCS.net Solutions GmbH Marketing Impact - Gig Werks, PT Ebiz Cipta Solusi and bluesource Information Limited Nintex Choice – Neudesic, KBQuest Hong Kong Limited and IOZ AG Solution Innovation - Provoke Solutions US, Myriad Technologies and PointBeyond An enhanced partner program Nintex has made a significant investment in improving its partner program. There has been many recommendations from various Nintex partners about how to improve their partnership with Nintex. Some of the key highlights of this enhancement drive are: Partner Types and Tiers – Nintex has decided to categorize partners based on the following: Solution Partners - For the reselling & referral partnersTechnology Partners - For the partners who integrate, extend, market, and sell Nintex productsTraining Partners - Refers to partners who create and provide Nintex training and materials. Partner Portal – Nintex has launched a new partner portal specifically for all partners. It offers an improved easy to use interface and easier ways to manage customer data. Learning Center – Nintex provides 24/7 resources for training and learning via the Learning Center. All the core content in the Learning Center is provided free to the partners. Marketing Center – Easy to re-use and repurpose, this resource offers a number of guides and playbooks for Nintex products. Product Center – Partners can get the latest updates and the enhancements around the Nintex workflows, forms, mobile and connector products. Nintex Customizable Enterprise Apps Nintex launched brand new customizable ‘Enterprise Mobile Apps’ at WPC, integrating workflows and forms features. Theses apps will be available for all major mobile operating systems and available for both the classic workflows and forms products. At WPC Nintex demonstrated the new apps with an example of how a business can provide their customers with easily available apps for the major operating systems like iOS, Android and Windows. These apps provide the facility to drive the engagement of customers who are operating across laptop and mobile devices, even offline. With these apps we can integrate business process with web services, packaged and custom databases, and business applications. Some of the key features available are: Ability to add pictures or attachment directly to the form Drag and Drop design Offline mode Accessibility across the devices Nintex wins Office app awards At WPC Nintex received an award for ‘‘Office and SharePoint Application Development’. Microsoft selected Nintex from more than 2300 nominations from 108 countries worldwide, including such names as Docusign, K2 and Harmon.ie. Nintex received this award as it had shown great expertise in building an easy to use platform that can be leveraged to offer a myriad of possibilities. They’ve helped Mitchells & Butlers, a UK-based operator of 1,700 restaurants and pubs by using Microsoft Office 365 and Nintex Forms to revamp its entire safety forms management system. M&B eliminated a labor-intensive and fragmented paper-based compliance system with a cloud-based system that leveraged Intune, a Nintex touchscreen mobile app, and 15,000 mobile devices to shave 23,000 hours a year in paperwork review. As part of its solution that won, Nintex has made an ongoing investment in the new Office extensibility model, based in the Cloud, including a pioneering add-in in the Office Store. A close relationship Nintex is a great partner for many Microsoft enterprise products, like Office 365 and SharePoint, and indeed a great partner to other companies in the community.
