Can anyone give me a target date for the release of 8.1?

Q1 of 2008 is as specific as I can get right now.

Q1 of 2008 has come and gone. And I see that 8.1 has been released, but not for Windows Forms .NET 3.5 in the VS2008 environment. What is the ETA for that?
I ask this question because I am at a critical decision-making juncture of purchasing WinForm components. If there is still no end in sight, I will need to look elsewhere.
