Hi,
We'd like to use infragistics as part of a dashboard functionality of our product and sell this as an addon component to our customers.
Are there any specific licensing we would require to do this sort of thing?
Cheers
Do you mean that the product you are making would be itself a development component that your customers would use in developing their own applications?
No our customers will only use the product, the only changes they would make is to the settings which we have made configurable.
By addon I mean we are charging this development work as an added service to our exisiting application.
However we will be developing our own framework based on Infragistics to develop the different widgets based on the customer's needs.
We are also planning to expand this service by supporting sharepoint as well.
I hope that helps.
Also is it safe to say that if I don't include the infragistics35.documents.v8.3.dll and infragistics35.excel.v8.3.dll, it will mean that we will not be impacted by the Microsoft XPS licensing? Or are there other parts of Infragistics which make use of this XPS technology?
I'm asking this as our legal team has encountered some issues with the Microsoft XPS licensing, I'm going to have a meeting with them tomorrow to discuss the details.

If you're the one doing the development work (including compilation), and you're the one with the development licenses, then our licensing does not significantly restrict you. You're allowed to create, sell, and distribute your own products using our toolset without royalties or runtime licenses, as detailed in our License Agreement.
If your product is meant to be used by another party at design-time or compile-time, then that other party will need to have their own development license for our toolset. I discuss this scenario further in the following thread (this applies to our Windows Forms, ASP.NET, and WPF controls, at the very least):http://forums.infragistics.com/forums/t/7484.aspx

Please let me know if this addresses your question, or if I can clarify further.
