Version Utility Upgrading 11.1 to 11.2
posted

I brought up an older project done by someone else and found out they used infrigistics 11.1 to complete the project.  On my computer, I only have version 11.2. So when I tried to run the version utility to upgrade the assemblies, it failed and said that there were retired controls and the error message popped up.

ProjectFile element: DistComplain\DistComplain.vbproj is being treated as a proj file.

The project has references that need to be updated.
We have determined this solution/project/website to have retired ASP.NET controls in the following file C:\Users\jakec\Desktop\DistComplain\DistComplain\Admin\IssueTypes.aspx. NOTE: There could be retired controls in other files too.  The utility cannot proceed any further. Please refer to the following blog post on how retired controls are being handled.

Could not load the project. Please see the Log file for more details.

Nothing for us to upgrade.

So I went to the website shown above and found out there are version free assemblies.  So I downloaded those and referenced them in my project. So now I am stuck.  Is there a way to use the non version assemblies in place of the 11.1 assemblies?  Or a way to make the version utility work to upgrade to my 11.2?

Replacing all the controls is not an option, wayyy too many.

THe person who did create the project also cannot help.  What can I do?
