When utilizing the Date Picker with Date Format only, we cannot modify the preview of what is displayed prior to selection. By default it displays MM/DD/YY (Ex: 8/20/15) however while running the screen live, it switches to MM/DD/YYYY (Ex: 8/20/2015).
We are using this feature to select a Date of Birth. That being said, we want to present either blank values or the letters MM/DD/YYYY and not have it populate with numeric values (current or in the past). Attempted to change the selectable input field text which accepts it, however once you run the prototype it switches back to 8/20/2015.
How can we override this behavior and allow either blank values or the specific text "MM/DD/YYYY?"

Regarding "we want to present either blank values or the letters MM/DD/YYYY and not have it populate with numeric values", there is no way of setting this. You can suggest new product ideas for future versions (or vote for existing ones) in our UserVoice site: indigostudio.uservoice.com. The ideas and comments we get from our users are really important to us, and help us prioritize the features for the upcoming versions of Indigo Studio.
