FYI, when I install the local samples I get the lovely "Trial Version" on all my pages. You might want to update the zip file to your release version. ;-)
Hi Alan,
This is the desired behavior. You can rebuild the Samples application with the non-trial assemblies once you have the full product version.
Regards,
That actually makes sense. Except for the fact that the trial version I know had some issues with it.
The Trial version is fully functional, it just has the Trial Watermark.
Let's just say that when I ran the trial version, I had a bug just magically go away when I upgraded to the release version.
Hi,
Did you try opening the Samples sources and building them? This should produce new binaries with no Trial Watermark.
HTH
I have the licensed version and am still getting the watermark. Any ideas?
So I think there is some confusion about the "Trial" version here. What we released on July 10 was a pre-release build that we labeled a "Demonstration" build. It was the first build we could release on the final SL3 RTM bits, but it had not passed all of our quality gates at that point.
What we released on July 27 was our RTM version. We released both a Trial RTM version (which includes the watermark) and a Licensed RTM version (no watermark). Both of these should be built form the exact same source code (which the exception of a small #ifdef to include/exclude the watermark code). You can tell this because both the trial and licensed assemblies have the same build number (9.12009.1.1006), which is greater then the build number released on July 10 (9.1.2009.1.394).
If your saying that you were using the RTM vesion and saw a difference between the trial (waternarked) and licensed (unwatermarked) assemblies, then that is definitely something we need to look at.
