Hi,
My name is Brent Schooley and I am the Developer Interaction Designer for the NetAdvantage Reporting product. My job is to make sure your experience with the product is positive and productive. It's very important to us that we meet your needs with NetAdvantage Reporting so your feedback is very valuable!
Is there something we're missing? Something that could be made easier/more valuable? Anything that bugs you that you'd like to see done differently? Let me know so that I can help get the changes made so that the product is what you need.
If you have thoughts there are a few way you can let me know:
Let's work together to make this a great product!
Thanks,
Brent
13.1 came out. Nothing new in reporting other than bug fixes?
Correct. Reporting has no new major features for 13.1.
So...... You guys ask us for what's missing....... We tell you..... And you do nothing but slap a 13.1 on it.....
To be fair, we did not slap a 13.1 label on Reporting. Since no new features were added for our latest release, its' versioning has been kept at 12.2.
We do appreciate your feedback, and would love to continue receiving it, but please keep in mind that we have a very large range of products and limited resources to work on them. Therefore we must sometimes make difficult decisions to not implement features on certain products that we know will upset some of our customers. If we had unlimited time, money, and people, then this would never be a problem. Unfortunately, we are not immune to the variables that all other companies must deal with.
Thanks for the links. You are correct! After seeing the information you provided, I searched my email threads for this issue. I see where there was an internal discussion on if the versioning should be incremented from 12.2 to 13.1. I specifically suggested that we don't increment as to not give a false sense of new features, as you have pointed out. I completely forgot that I lost that argument, and the Reporting assemblies were updated. So yes, we did just slap a 13.1 label on Reporting which did not receive any new features, only bug fixes.
Sorry, i thought i was being fair....
Please see the following link from your own website which states a 13.1 release:http://ko.infragistics.com/community/blogs/reporting/archive/2013/04/22/netadvantage-reporting-release-notes-april-13-1-volume-release.aspxAdditionally, Your website also shows the following links:http://help.infragistics.com/NetAdvantage/reporting/2013.1/CLR4.0http://help.infragistics.com/reporting/2013.1/If its still 12.2 and you didn't slap a 13.1 on it.... than there was no point to creating these links representing a 13.1 release.
Must just be miscommunication somewhere.....
