WebDataMenu feature requests

There are a few features that I would really like to see added to the WebDataMenu.

  • Multi-column flyouts.  for an example, see http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/menu/examples/multicolumnmenu/defaultcs.aspx
  • I want people to be able to drill down into some levels, but don't want to send the full markup with every page view.  To accomplish this, I need one of the following:
    • Either the ability to add/remove menu items (and children) from the client,
    • ... or the ability to bind to a webservice,
    • ... or the ability to "load on demand" like the WebDataTree.  The "IsEmptyParentNode" property and "NodePopulated" event that you use in the WebDataTree would be perfect for this.
