Hi, did Infragistics think about a Gridcontrol for WP7 like https://www.grapecity.com/flexgrid/?
Hi Martin, yes, this is on our roadmap. We looked at what C1 did and found multiple performance and usabilty issues, so simply shrinking a desktop grid to the phone isn't the right approach. Stay tuned to the blogs over the next few months for more news in this area.
I'd also be interested in what Grid features you are looking for ... Hierarchy? Filtering? Grouping? I am assuming super fast scrolling :)
Let me know if you need anything else,
Jason

Yes you are right. I will take a look on the control.
best regards martin
Yes, that is exactly the control. From a UX perspective, it is more in-line with what is possible on a phone (and what a user can deal with).
We don't plan on creating a grid for the phone, but we are considering a multi-column List.
That being said, the world seems to be moving towards larger devices, so the convergence of a Windows UI / Windows Phone "list-grid" control is always a possibility. On a 6-inch Nokia phone, a grid would probably work just fine :)
But in general, for a phone-device, would you agree that a List / Multi-Column List is a better UX than a huge grid control?
What's your take?
