I have a group footer that contains a table (running of a different data source)
If this table ends up being bigger than a single page then the bottom is cut off rather than rendering across pages.

This was a concious design choice, but we are reevaluating it and we'll probably change it for the next Service Release.
If in the details section of the group you have another table, you could add the content of your group footer below that table and it should work in the way you want. If you don't have a table, then I don't see a way you could achieve it.

It works when I move to the details section, however the reason that the table was in the footer was so that I could force a page break before it. This is related to my question about being able to split the detail section into multiple parts
