Hello there , we confront a problem when trying to use Coded UI Test (CUIT) feature of MS-Visual Studio 2012 SL-plugin ( http://visualstudiogallery.msdn.microsoft.com/28312a61-9451-451a-990c-c9929b751eb4 )for one of our SL application built with Infragistics control. I hope , i dont need to explain on the process of CUITs , but the problem occurs when `Coded UI Test Builder (the plugin)` is recording actions of the application and when clicking XamDateTimeInput - it generates an error saying `An exception occurred when trying to discover info about a sl control` and the process stops abruptly.
Note that it does not have troubles with other `XAM`controls so far.
Any idea ?
NB: As per you , what is the best recommended TestTool for SL apps with Infragistics for Performance,Load , Unit ,UI Testing ?
HI Thomas,
I replicated your issue and will test with the latest bulids.

Hi Matt
Thanks for the reply..
I kindly repeat my query i put up in the second part.what`d be the recommended `Test Tool for Silverlight applications with third party controls` (infragistics) for performace ,Load,Unit & UI Testing ?
Any assistance you can provide would be highly appreciated .
HI,
I created a private case for this issue and logged a developer issue.
I also create a Feature Request to Allow our testing tool TestAdvantage to work with our Silverlight Product.
I will email you with the detaiils shortly.
Our developers have completed their review of development issue 139678. They have determined that this is not a bug for the following reasons:
See this link http://visualstudiogallery.msdn.microsoft.com/28312a61-9451-451a-990c-c9929b751eb4. You have to download the SL test plugin and follow the installation steps (including the link in the installation steps section called 'How to: Set Up Your Silverlight Application for Testing'). Even with that I had a problem on my system though, The test builder crashed immediately.
Please try a create a sample where coded ui works properly without our controls. If you can get that to work properly and then there is still a problem when you add our control back in then bounce this back to me with the updated sample.
If you have more information regarding this issue that may require a reevaluation, or require further explanation, please let me know.
Please let me know if you need further assistance regarding this case.
Hello Matt
Thanks for your reply,
Ref to the above, I will definitely come up with an answer after I consider your recommendations on 20.09.2013.
As a matter of fact, we moved on, from the problem listed as it was logged around 5 months back.
Since MS dropped official support for codd ui tests with SL5 and VS2012 we can not support this feature.
