UltraWebGrid1_InitializeDataSourceevent is fired. and everything is soooooooooo slow. the webdropdown now works but not the webgrid, because x times the initializedatasource event is fired. how can i prevent this ?

You can use the built-in WebDropDown editor provider for the new WebDataGrid. It uses only 1 instance of the control, and only moves its position depending on the cell:
samples.infragistics.com => ASP.NET 2009.1 => WebDataGrid = > Editor Providers => WebDropDown

Hi Angel, thanks for your reply. But i would not remove the current webgrid. because there i too much code behind, and i would'nt make everything new.Could i not see which one fires the InitializeDataSource Event ?
I have a simple (i thought) webpage with a webgrid on it with a company employee listabove a want to have a webdropdown to select fast a name of the employee list. if i select the name in the webdropdown control i want rebuild (filtering) the webgrid with the name who was selected in the webdropdownsounds easy but i have extremly problems with the infragistics controls to solve this problem.
in the last days i tryed it with the webcombo but this also does'nt work correct.
