I am not using <Item Template> at this point and when I add the line of code wddRecipients.DataBind() at the very end of Page_Load just before the End Sub, I get the following error:

I'm using itemtemplate and when I remove it, it works fine, but I really need itemtemplate.

I received the following response from Infragistics ...

I’ve research you sample and I am able to compile it but when I run TestControl.aspx I need of some kind of dump database to simulate your scenario.  Would you be able to send me a backup of your db with a few records?  I see that you are using the RTM build of 9. 2 version. There are a few service release after this version and I would suggest to upgrade and test with it. It is possible this issue to be resolved in it. You could download the latest service release (hot fix ) from our website under your account.

When I tried to install the latest service packs I encountered an error and I sent them the following update to my ticket ...

"I downloaded the Service Release NetAdvantage_ASPNET_20102.2101_SR.msp and tried to install it.
Once downloaded I extracted the files onto my computer and then double-clicked on the .msp file provided in the zip file.
Then I get the msg. that reads "The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program.  Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch."

I can not get through to your phone support because it disconnects when I make any selection from the main calling screen.

Please let me know how I can resolve this!"

I wanted to see if anyone receives the same error.

In addition to that I called and was talking to a tech for developer support and he put me on hold for over 15 minutes when I finally hung up and called back and now my call has been next in the queue for 30 minutes!!!

This is ridiculous!

Could you try to rebind the dropdown on each postback please. This should solve the issue with the missing items.

Were you able to install the service pack?

I am using webdropdown with itemtemplate and on the postback i cannot see the dataitems but can select them i am doing a databind on every postback too can you please let me know if we need to do anything else.

I made all the same changes and am definitely using version 10.2 only.

Now when I hover over the dropdown arrows on the webdropdown, they flicker.

It seems like the size is getting slightly larger and smaller very rapidly giving it the flickering effect.

I can however eventually get a click event to trigger and when I do it a second time again the data does not appear.  So I still have the same problem in addition to the new problem of the flickering.

I am not doing a databind of the webdropdown except for on every postback in the page_load event.

Great! It's nice to hear that the issue is resolved.  In my previous post I addressed Jay's issue which is similar to yours.  If you do not experience any issues with this version my advice is to keep it running. If you find out  any is good to know that there are  hot fixes available.

Excellent, that made the trick.   I also had changed the AutoPostBackFlags already.

It seems that I'm using version 10.2 see this:

Do I still need to install the service pack?
