Writing to PDF file

I have a PDF file and some form fields. Are there any APIs that can be used to open PDF , fill the PDF form fields and save the file programatically?

I can submit a feature request for loading the pdf file in the Report class.

I would like to do something very similar, but even simpler - load an existing PDF, change the title in the .Info, and save it back to the server.
