Hi.
It would be nice to know about future direction of WebDataGrid.
Like will it support editing of any kind?
Can I access cells values on client like I did in UltraWebGrid?
Will it support hierarcial/group by binding?
Thanks
From what I have been told, the webdatagrid will evolve to have all the features of the current webgrid and more. From what I understand Aikido is the evolution of their ASP.NET controls thus all the current controls will at some point have their aikido equivilent. Devin please correct me if I am wrong.
What I am really looking forward to is the maturity of their webdatagrid, webcombo, webmenu, splitter and dialog controls. With these controls you could replicate a windows based application quite well. I really hope its full steam ahead here and we should see something more substantial at the start of 2008. I really do want to see a major improvement to the webasync too, I just feel that it is not as intuitive as it could be.
I'm just worry that WebDataGrid will became the same monster like UltraWebGrid, with 1500 properties, 1000 methods and more then 500 Kb of js files.
