I have a band control and this does it's job perfectly. it shows the content I want to show over many pages, with a header and footer on each page.
The problem is however that now I need to design a document that needs to be printed recto verso and so I need to have pairs of pages, where the front page contains the current pages generated in the band and where the back page needs to be inserted in the current flow of pages.
Is there a way to do this?
Hi datamdatam,
Thank you for posting your inquiry to the forums. Though, in review of your question I am not clear on what you are aiming to accomplish. This is the part of your problem description that I am not following:
".....recto verso and so I need to have pairs of pages, where the front page contains the current pages generated in the band and where the back page needs to be inserted in the current flow of pages."
With this clarification I can research this matter for you.
Hello Troy
Thank you for looking into this.
The thing we want to achieve is that, instead of alternating headers and footers, is that we have alternating "main blocks".
An example:I can generate an invoice containing 3 pages. For this I use a band, so I have a header and footer on each page. I provide the engine with all data that goes in the band, resulting in a number of pages in the PDF file.
The problem I have now is that I need to have page 1 of the invoice in the PDF, followed by an empty page, only containing the address of the invoice so I can print this on the backside of the first page, than have the second page of the invoice, the same empty page again with the address, the thirth page of the invoice and ending again with the address page. Like this I should get a PDF containing 6 pages, the odd pages are the invoices pages and the even pages are the address pages.
Hope this makes things clear
