Hi,
I have a webhierarchicaldatagrid with three levels of child grid. The grid is expanding properly on server where I have deployed it on IIS, However when I try to run the application on my local machine, it is not expanding in firefox and in IE it is giving scriptresource.axd error of invalid argument. Can someone please suggest how to resolve it. The grid expanding is only working fine in chrome. Please help its urgent.
Thanks.
Dear mmegha,
Thank you for contacting Infragistics!
We have received your support request concerning the WHDG not expanding in Firefox and IE, and this case has been assigned to me. Infragistics is dedicated to helping you solve this issue. Our team and I have done an initial review of your case and I have the following questions to help me reproduce this issue;
a.) What is the version of NetAdvantage you are using?
b.) What version of the CLR are you targeting?
c.) Are all levels of the grid not expanding, or just the third one?
d.) What type of data source are you getting your data from?
I will create a sample to test this case. If you already have a sample that I can use as a starting point, that will help to resolve the case faster.
I will have an update on my progress for you tomorrow.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
I am using:
a) Net Advantage 2011.1
b) CLR 4
c) yes, none of the levels are expanding
d) I have a sql data source
It was working fine few months back and I dont know the reason why it had stopped working now. My hierarchicaldatagrid is inside a webtab.
Hello mmegha,
I followed your specs and was unable to reproduce the behavior you're describing on my machine. I set up a WHDG in a WebTab using 3 SQLDataSources bound to Nwind.mdb. When I ran my website and tried to expand the bands, I could expand down to all three levels. I tested this in IE, Firefox and Chrome and all three worked as expected.
I have attached the sample project I used to test this. Please test this project on your PC; whether or not it works correctly may help indicate the nature of this problem.
If the project does not work correctly, this indicates either a problem possibly specific to your environment, or a difference in the DLL versions we are using. My test was performed using version 11.1.20111.2238 in NetAdvantage for ASP.NET 2011 Volume 1.
If the project does show the product feature working correctly, this indicates a possible problem in the code of your application. It will help if you can provide a small, isolated sample application that demonstrates the behavior you are seeing.
Or, if this sample project is not an accurate demonstration of what you're trying to do, please feel free to modify it and send it back, or send a small sample project of your own if you have one.
Please let me know if I can provide any further assistance.
