When you browse your mouse over a WebDataMenu, and it pops up a menu, you must be very careful where you position the mouse or the popup will automatically go away.
If your mouse leaves the WebDataMenu (even for a fraction of a second) the popup menu will hide itself.
This happens frequently when you take a shortcut from the WebDataMenu to the popup. In other words, if your mouse takes a direct line from the WebDataMenu to the popup that isn't directly over any menu parts then the popup will go away.
I have illustrated a very common occurrance that causes the popup to hide itself. See the attachments.
Is there a solution?
Hi raywhite,
Thank you for posting on our forums!
The WebDataMenu has a property called SubMenuClosingDelay that will give the user some time to get on top of a menu item again before it closes out. This property is measured in milliseconds.
For more information, please see the following page in our documentation:
http://help.infragistics.com/NetAdvantage/ASPNET/2012.2/CLR4.0/?page=Infragistics4.Web.v12.2~Infragistics.Web.UI.NavigationControls.WebDataMenu~SubMenuClosingDelay.html
If you need any further assistance with this, please let me know and I will be glad to help.
Thank you for documenting the unit of time measure somewhere. The help documentation on Infragistics website makes no mention of this.
