I'm using VS 2008 x86 on a Vista x64 machine and I cannot add the Infragistics controls to the toolbox.
The toolbox utility reports success but only creates a toolbox item group, without any items. Manually trying to add the items via "Choose items" doesn't work either, it just doesn't do anything.
I've tried to run VS as Admin and normal user: no difference.
I've started VS with the /log option: no relevant log entry
I've reset the toolbox repeatedly: no change
I've tried "choose items" and drag'n'drop: neither works
Interestingly, I've just noticed that there are a few controls I can add: The ones in Infragistics35.Web.v8.1 (WebSplitter etc) work, but I still can't add any control from Infragistics.WebUI.Misc.v8.1.dll nor any control in any other Infragistis.WebUI.* dll.
What else should I try?
Thanks
Ben
I am experiencing the same exact issue, except that I am running on a Windows XP pro SP2 machine.
Please help as this is stopping us from working.
I have the same issue.
My setup is as follows: WinXP with SP2, VS2008 Pro, NA ASPNET 2008 Vol.2 CLR3.5 and NA WinForms 2008 Vol.2 CLR2.0
NA WinForms works ok - I can add NA controls on to my win form.
NA Web tab though is missing. I right-clicked on the Toolbox then selected "Show All". I found all tabs including the "NA 8.2 Web CLR3x" but the controls are Disabled and it wouldn't let me drag-and-drop the controls on to my web form.
Any ideas?
Is your project set to compile against .NET 2.0 or .NET 3.5? If its set to compile against .NET 2.0, then I beleive VS will disable any controls compiled agsinst 3.5.

I should add that the parameter I used for the utility was /q 2009.1
I'm using VS2010 and trying for infragistics 2009.1 to show in the toolbox.
I'm trying to use the infragistics2.toolboxutility.exe. Not matter what paramertrs I enter I get the following:
Begin processing Netadvantage version 2009.1
Vs: 8.0
VS: 9.0 Argument 1 was invalid.
Can someone Help
Hey Guys
Just go to toolbox ....right click on "all wpf controls"....then select reset toolbox and you all should be good to go.

Are you using a Microsoft wireless mouse or keyboard? The following thread mentions similar problems applying to all third-party controls, not just those provided by Infragistics.
http://forums.infragistics.com/forums/p/2638/15961.aspx#15961
One user mentioned uninstalling and reinstalling the toolset, while another mentioned getting updated drivers for the wireless input device.
I still have an issue... my project is set to compile against 3.5
I just installed version 8.2 .net 3.5 tools today and they still are disabled in my toolbox
