Please find the modified sample attached below. I have slightly modified your ig_dataGrid.css and Styles.css files ( I have removed some styles - they are not deleted but put in comment so that you can see them) and modified 2 dom elements via jQuery.
It is not a consistent solution but I believe it works for your scenario.
