We are using Webgrid where we have Drop down provider with editor provider. This drop down has autofilter, once any text gets selected, and we tab out, we are directed to next editable column. However the same doesn't happen when we press enter key. It stays in the same column and does not move to next editable column in the grid. Kindly help.

Could you please add some more details?
For example are you using activation behavior? Is it enabled? What are the related setting and code in use?
Please note that if Activation is enabled in the grid, the second press of enter would activate the cell below the currently active one, therefore triggering an update.
Are you manually managing the update? If so are you using something similar to the following:
