Maybe i'm doing something wrog but while setting properties for columns every time i change
column the property defaults to key instead of remaining in the propery just modified as in
properties window of VS

I'm not following the steps you are doing. Can you post the steps you are taking and maybe a screen shot or two to help me understand what you are referring to in this post?
Sppose i'm modifying textalign for column "concepto"
:
if I move to column cantidad the position changes to Key
instead of staying in cellappearance.texthalign
so i havo to scroll back and open the list again and scoll to texthalign
When you have a large number of columns its time consuming
and tedious
What version of the UltraGrid are you using? (you can right click on the grid in the design view and choose about and it will show the version number).
What version of Visual Studio are you using?
Using 10.1 and VS 2008 I was able to change columns and remain on the same property (TextHAlign was tested).
