Hi all,I have a problem with an UltraCombo. The combo is placed on a usercontrol looking like this:
It's part of some webbrowser thingy and used for history navigation. Now when I open the dropdown (regardless how many items there are actually in) it looks like this:
How can I deal with the dropping down list to size it properly?I used PreferredDropDownSize and max/min dropdown items but without result.
Without the resizer and without setting the DropDownWidth (which I did in order to see anything) the dropdown width is exactly the size of the dropdown (the thing with the down-arrow to click) which is only about 35px.
Is there a way to set the height of the dropping down list?
Thanks a lot in advance, best regardsAndy
Hi Andy,
What version are you using? This looks like a bug that was fixed a while ago. Get the latest service release if you don't already have it.
How to get the latest service release - Infragistics Community
Hi Mike, good hearing from you, I hope you are doing fine.
We are currently using the version-free variant of v.10.3I assume this is the most actual one...
let me know Mike if you need further information, best regardsAndy
Did you get the service release like I suggested?
Hi Mike,
I have the same problem with the latest release as well. Please try the following: Open the Infragistics sample solution for the resizable drop-down for the drop-down contros. For the ultraComboEditor1, set its AutoCompleteMode property to the SuggestAppend. After launching the app, type 'Bla' in the Company Names drop-down.
Hope, this helps reproduce the bug. It also can be reproduced for the UltraCombo.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Alex
Hi,
I'm not sure about the versionless assemblies. I have pinged developer support on that. I always assumed they are included in the service release or provided in a separate download or something.
As for the sample, I tried this out and I am able to see the problem, so this is a new issue and is not fixed in the latest service release. I will forward this thread over to Infragistics Developer Support so they can write it up for developer review.
Hi Mike, thanks a lot for your help on this problem, I really appreciate your support. Is it possible to stay on track regarding this issue?Just to know it is fixed so I can implement whatever is necessary?
Regarding the service release, my superior downloaded Winforms and WPF release, he said there were no other downloads. Installing the release upgraded my current installed Infragistics versions to the new one, leaving the version-free dll's as is.
Thanks again and have a good week, best regardsAndy
Alex, Thanks for letting me know the results.
PS - We are officially logging this issue with Development as per Mike Saltzman's recommendation. You will soonrecieve details about this in your private support case with us.
Hi Francis,
Yes, I do see the updated versionless DLLs now. Thank you very much for the hint, I really appreciate it. It was, clearly, an oversight on my part.
Hello Alex,
I tested the Service Release installer for NetAdvantage for Windows Forms 10.3.20103.2067. It did replace the zip file in the C:\Program Files\Infragistics\NetAdvantage 2010.3\Windows Forms\Version-Free folder. The new zip file contains dlls wityh version 10.3.20103.2067. Are you not seeing the same?
Thanks,
Mike,
I also would like to second the question regarding updating the verionless DLLs.
Thank you and have a nice day.
