We have a drag/drop enabled tree but when the user goes to drag, if they start dragging too soon multiple siblings get selected instead of dragging the node that was selected. Is there a way to disable selection while dragging? Or change how long the user has to hold down the left mouse button to start the drag? We need the ability to select multiple nodes but the accepted method to do this is using the shift key or ctrl to do that.

I can not figure out how the time holding down the left mouse button affects the action in our control. The item(s) needs to be selected in order for the drag operation to occur at all. I might be not understanding you well, so could you please try to upload if possible a video sample which demonstrates your issue.
