I installed the latest Hotfix and all my forms that I have Office 2007 Ribbons are choking. They are prompting me with "You don't have the feature installed." What is the deal?
-Ken
FYI: I apply the hotfix and then upgrade projects and toolbox. Everything compiles but when I open my Ribbon forms they all complain that the 2007 UI support isn't installed.
When I install the original 2008.1 I get the functionality back but I don't have the hotfix anymore....solutions please.
thanks
Hello....Anybody out there? Support? Your hotfix just broke our application. We explicitly use the office 2007 UI for our whole app.
Help!
Ok, so here is the deal (Fix)...just in case anyone else has run into this.
When you install HotFix 2008.1 the Office 2007 ui capabilities get wiped. All the new assemblies do get installed. Then Re-Install the 2008.1 product so you have access to Office 2007 UI again. The re-install doesn't wipe out your HotFix...I thought it did at first.
C:\Program Files\Infragistics\NetAdvantage for .NET 2008 Vol. 1 CLR 2.0\windows forms\bin\
The version should be 8.1.20081.2013 and not 8.1.20081.1000 which means your hotfix is still in place.Regards,-Ken
For those who used the originally-released installer of NetAdvantage for .NET 2008 Volume 1, this is a known issue. We had re-issued the installer to address a fairly significant problem in WebGrid. You can find more information about this updated installer on this blog entry, including how to determine whether or not you are using the original installer or the updated installer.People who are using the updated installer should not be encountering this problem. If you are using the updated installer and encounter this problem, please submit a support request with details; we want to hear about this and fix it if it happens. We can't prevent this problem from occurring for future hot fixes for those who are using the originally-released installer. The workaround that Ken detailed is the easiest way to address the problem and is what Developer Support suggests as an immediate workaround, but these steps will need to be repeated for any future hot fix installations for NetAdvantage for .NET 2008 Volume 1. Another option is to uninstall the toolset, download the updated installer, and reinstall with the updated installer. While this is notably more time-consuming, it will prevent the problem from occurring for subsequent hot fixes.
I confirm the HotFix breaks the Office 2007 UI and I used the installed version. IT's not so good things now I must lose more time to reinstall the 2008.1 to have back the UI and I must recompile a software just now
I am not sure what the set back is but your installers are not fixed. This installer below doesn't install latest WebGrid....Did you guys only fix the web installer and not the Uber installer?
NetAdvantage_NET_20081_CLR20_HotFix_2013.msp (not fixed)
