This could be achieve with 'ControlContainer' style of the groups and a picture box control.

what about putting one on the Group? to be more specific, I already have what a CreationFilter as shown in http://ko.infragistics.com/community/forums/t/80045.aspx and I am trying to add a spinner on groups when data is loading.
