Not sure if I'm doing something wrong here, but when I open an XLSX file saved with Office 2013 using the Excel Workbook Load method, comments are always null and HasComment always returns false (this is true for 2013V1 and 2013V2). If I save the file in the XLS format using Office 2013, or in XLS or XLSX format using Office 2010, the comments are available. This isn't a problem for me due to the workarounds mentioned, but I thought I would raise it as an issue.

Thanks very much for you follow up. I recently downloaded the 2013 V2 service release and the problem with accessing Excel comments has now been resolved. Thanks again for your assistance.
