Then when I type the next character it overwrites the selected text. WHY is this happening? Is there selected text property that I am overlooking from somewhere??
I am about to start setting the text ever key press out of desperation. This is driving me nuts.
I do not understand what you are describing.
When you select text with your mouse, a shading usually appears over the text to let you know that it's selected. This is happening to me on the first character that I type into the box.... then when I type the second character it overwrites the first.
This only happens on the first character -- not sure why.
Are you doing anything inside the keypress event?
What is your cellclickaction set to on the override? Might play with the settings there just to see how the behaviour changes. What version you on? Happen in all column types?
I was curious had to look it up the name is Blue Mesa Grill not what I referenced before. Looks like it's still open. Yes that would be cool to see Troy and Emmitt. Was a big fan of the Cowboys back when they played. Not so much anymore just not into the Pro's as much.
Have fun!
Nick
It's hard to troubleshoot because it only happens the first time when I click into the cell. It's driving me crazy to try and figure out.
Not sure about that place to eat, but yes there are a ton of good places here and it is hard not to gain 100lbs!
Bluefish is right around the corner -- I love that place, but I especially say it because I saw Troy Aikman eating there the other day. They Emmitt Smith comes in there a lot too...
Sounds kinda like handled is getting set to true for all your keypresses.
Hey is that Blue Corn Cafe that sells Mexican food there in Addison still open? Great place to eat. Lots of good places there to eat however.
Glad I don't work there I would look like a blimp.
This must be something in your code. Obviously, this is not the default behavior of the control. Does this happen if you put a new instance of the control on the form?
Yes, just checking for an enter, tab, up or down... I don't think this is causing it, butit's a good idea to test this more extensively. Thanks for the suggestion.
