Hi
Printing the COntrol will give me an option when the display is small. BUT what if I want to see more??
I tried it, and I can print it. not a problem.. The scope is just limited.
We bought the new version of NetAdvantage for the Pivot Control. SO we are REALLY very disappointed that they did not foresee a printing method on this.
Hi Marius,
Thank you for the reply.
Currently I am trying to implement this functionality in a sample for you. I will update you, if I am able to achieve success with it.
Another option in this case is to use WPF Pivot grid in a host control. The pivot grid has the print functionality so you will be able to use it out of the box.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
I have modified my approach to create more pages based on whether the content of the Pivot grid fits, thus making it possible to print larger PivotGrids and show all their content. I have attached my modified sample, let me know if it works for you. If it doesn’t we will look into the WPF using host control approach further.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
This is already some help. It would , however still be the best to be able to print this as text, either on PDF , WORD or Excel format. I really hope that you guys are planning on doing this with this control. The control is amazing, but my client can not use this as a professional report. For the purpose of a PowerPoint or just a screen shot, it is fine. The solution you are giving me, basically translates to multiple screen shots. But thank you for this, I am looking forward to the final product.
Hello Marius,
I am still following this thread. Let me know if you need my further assistance on this issue.
Thank you for using Infragistics Components.
The sample in which I implemented the printing uses Flat Data Source (it actually transforms DataTable to IEnumerable for the Flat Data Source). For more information on the Flat Data Source:
http://help.infragistics.com/Doc/WinForms/2014.2/CLR4.0/?page=WinPivotGrid_Using_FlatDataSource.html
Let me know if you have any additional questions.
I am using 14.2.
How will I use it with the FladDataSource. Is it possible to give me an example
Thank you for the feedback.
I have checked our products idea site and it seems that there is already a new product idea for exporting the pivot grid to excel (http://ideas.infragistics.com/forums/192359-windows-forms/suggestions/6746964-export-to-excel-for-winpivotgrid). You can vote for it if you haven’t already and this way our management team will be able to gauge what is needed by our users and what would be good additions to our toolset.
Keep in mind that we have introduced our PivotGrid control in 14.1 and then we expanded its functionality with the FlatDataSource addition in 14.2. We are constantly looking to add new functionalities to our existing controls and hopefully we will be expanding the features of the PivotGrid in our newer versions.
Thank you for using Infragistics.
