Just spent a day tying to figure out if this was a bug in our code or the infragistics libs, turns out it's a bug in Infragistics by the looks.
In the supplied Infragistics sample app, If you go to 'XamComboEditor->Editing & Selection->Using SelectedItems/ISSelectedMemberPath Properties' sample and enter Al then press TAB in the 16.1.0.1000 version, on pressing TAB, 'Allergies' is correctly selected and the grid below populated. In the 16.2.0.2141 version, the selection on pressing TAB does not occur and the grid remains empty, same issue for the 16.1.0.2131 & 17.1.0.1000 version. Interestingly 16.2.0.1006 works correctly, so to recap...
16.1.0.1000 - Works
16.1.0.2131 - Busted
16.2.0.1006 - Works
16.2.0.2141 - Busted
17.1.0.1000 - Busted
Please advise on my path forward to a working version.

Hello Jonathan,
I was able to reproduce the auto select issue in XamComboEditor, and I have asked our engineering staff to examine this further. To ensure that it will receive attention, I have logged this behavior in our internal tracking system with a Development ID of 239963. This will be assigned to a developer in a future sprint to review my investigation and confirm my findings or to offer a fix, or other resolution.
Please note that volume 16.1 has already had its last service release so if the resolution of this development issue requires a change to the assemblies it will be necessary to upgrade to a more recent volume of Infragistics for WPF. You can see our product lifecycle here:

While our engineering staff investigate this issue for you, I can suggest to use the Autocomplete functionality of XamComboEditor.
