Hi does anyone have some information on how I can change the default size of columns?

    You can try this:

                        <igDP:UnboundField Name="Day of Week">

                            <igDP:Field.Settings >

                                <igDP:FieldSettings  CellWidth="200" LabelWidth="200"/>
